Having to keep up the masquerade

A married couple may quarrel from time to time. That's normal. Both may pout for months even for years. A husband may spend a lot of times outside and return home late. Their small children don't know anything about this as their parents are able to keep up the masquerade for the sake of their children. What about you? Do you blow your top with each other in front of your children?

My parents just quarrel with each other in front of us. We are numb with their quarrels.

Because they lost control -- so emotional.

@Behindtheguitarbar In that case parents have to learn how to control it, I guess.

I admit sometimes I can't hold my temper but as much as I can I wouldn't do it in the front of the children.

Most parents fly off the handle and forget that their children are around.

After the quarrel, parents usually realized that the quarrel was not good for their children.

My parents quarreled and throw things at each other when I was young. I know the pain because I was the child, so I try my best not to pick up quarrel with my hubby in front of my kids. It will hurt them as much I did

You are right. When I was a little boy I happened to see my dad slap my mom's face. I will never do this.
