Bishop Arts District is great, but parking could become an issue

There are lots of things to do at the Bishop Arts District in Oak Cliff, Dallas, TX. But parking spaces are hard to find. I would look into being simply dropped off by a friend and picked up later on at some nearby corner and pay them 20 bucks for the convenience. Because parking areas for that area are not that easy to find and for another I don't want to worry about local residents calling 911 to report a vehicle parked in front of their home and have my car towed. Plus, it is basically not a good thing to park along a side-street because they sell alcoholic beverages at some of those places in that area and a drunken motorist might side swipe my car at night, while I spend time with friends at a club nearby. The Oak Cliff Advocate has Two Ways to solve the parking problem in Bishop Arts:
It’s simple physics. In the Bishop Arts District on a Thursday-Saturday night, there are more cars than parking spaces. You could valet and tip...

You do have a problem with parking. I wonder if either solution is a good one. Is there any place to build a parking garage? Making the stripes tighter would cause problems getting in and out of your cars. I hope a solution is found that will work for everyone.

I hope so. They could in fact try to build some kind of multi-level parking garage if they had the inclination to do so. But it would take tax payer dollars and be voted on at the city council, unless a private individual or organization wanted to step in and buy out property for that purpose.

@lookatdesktop Buying out property seems a bit drastic. I know it's been done here, and people weren't happy by the loss of business for a parking garage. I hope the city comes to a satisfactory solution to the parking problem.

Riga, Latvia is very overcrowded in the city part so the best thing anyone can do it put their car in a parking garage which have sprung up all over the place.

That is a good way to deal with limited space. Building upward, rather than outward.
