and guess what? I don't owe £12,000 after all. There is a surprise. I owe them £23 - exactly what I said!!! What a bunch of muppets. They think they can take the money out of my account in October, but they can't as I have cancelled the direct debit. I'll ring them and ask for a paper bill and I will take it up to the bank and pay it. Then I will have a look around for a new supplier. I've had quite enough of those idiots.

I found that picture online. Seems I'm not the only one who has fun and games with scottish power. I'm sooo looking forward to getting them out of my life.

I'll call them on monday, if I call today it is all answermachines, to speak to a human (well the closest they have to human) to ask for a paper bill.

I don't think we have any choice in who to choose. I believe in the city limits you use Ameren CIPS or you do without unless you have your own source.

Here in the UK we can pick and choose our suppliers. We are feel to look around and find the best deal. I stayed with my old supplier for 9 years, but they got too expensive. Turns out changing has been a pain in the butt. Now the hunt will be on to find a new one. I don't really want to go back to my old one, but at least I know they are honest in their billing. Never had a problem with them in 9 years.
