In old times letters were the only mode of communication among people. Then gradually, telephone came up, then computers and internet, social media and various other modes to communicate. In the advancement of technology somewhere down the line the original or olden ways to communicate has died off or has reduced to a great extent. I am an old school person. I really appreciate and like the way people meet in person, share so much together, write letters to each other or used ro write. I feel liveliness in these things more than through technology. I am planning to write a letter to my bestie since it's been long that we have met and I have been missing him a lot. I have no idea whether he wl like this gesture or not yet I will be writing the letter because I really want to. Have you ever written letters to your friends or family members or to anyone? How was the experience? How is the idea of writing letters?

I used to write letters until email came along. Now I only write letters to my nephew. Everybody is too busy to write letters.

I understand that. Our schedules have become quite busy and become more easy as we grow in lives.

I used to write a lot of letters many years ago, but now most communication is on Internet.. It is much faster and easier, and phone is convenient too..

I'll send a card now and then. However, If I need to say something then I will telephone the person. I feel it is a better way of communicating.

@shubhu3 These days, there is no need to write a letter and wait weeks for a reply, when one can pick up a telephone and it is much cheaper than a letter. Have you seen the price of stamps lately?

@1hopefulman Yeah I agree with the same. I haven't seen the prices of stamps lately. How much rise has been in them?

Many years ago I used to love writing letters, there is something special about putting pen to paper, but snail mail is so unreliable that I now email all my friends.
