Even if you are not a Bible reader, or even if you have doubts about what the Bible says, I urge you to read this post. When another person on mylot expressed that he thought that things that he had read from the Bible were "depressing" to him, I wanted to offer him some Good News from the Bible. This was part of my response and I urge you to read it, because the Bible has a lot of GOOD NEWS, that makes me VERY happy and is not depressing, in my humble opinion. The Bible has a lot of GOOD NEWS that I certainly don't think is depressing. Psalm 37:9-11 for instance, says: "For evil men will be done away with, but those hoping in Jehovah will possess the earth. Just a little while longer and the wicked will be no more,. You will look at where they were and they will not be there. But the meek will possess the earth and they will find exquisite delight in the abundance of peace." That's really good news to know that all wicked persons will soon be removed from the earth. Do you agree? Revelation 21:3, 4 says: "Look! The tent of God is with mankind...And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes and DEATH WILL BE NO MORE, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away." Again, that is the best news ever. Death will be no more!! No more tears. No more pain. God has promised these things and they will come true. Jesus proved what he will do in the future by what he did while he was on earth. He fed the hungry. Today, millions of people on the earth are starving, because of the wicked governments they have to live under, even though there is an abundance of food for everyone if it were evenly distributed. Jesus healed the sick, the lame, the blind. He will cure all of mankind's illnesses soon. Jesus calmed the seas. He can and will control the harsh weather that is causing so much damage on the earth. Jesus even raised the dead. The resurrection of our dead loved ones is a promise. Acts 24:15 says: "And I have hope toward God...that there is going to be a resurrection of both the righteous and the unrighteous." The unrighteous are those who never had the opportunity to learn about God. All of these things are going to come true. In the Lord's Prayer, Jesus taught us to pray for God's Kingdom to come and his will to be done on earth as it is in heaven. Do you think that Jesus would have told us to pray for something that is not going to happen? That wouldn't make sense to me. Here's a link that will help you understand what the future will be like, if you care to read it.
What is the Kingdom of God? Millions pray the Our Father prayer: ‘Thy kingdom come, thy will be done.’ The Bible tells us what God’s Kingdom will do for us and when.
