For elementary children ages 5-11, which do you think would be harder to supervise at recess, girls or boys? Why?
I have an opinion, because I supervise recess twice a week, but I'd like to know what you would expect or have experienced. I'll tell you what I think after you give me some opinions. Watch this space!

I have to supervise elementary recess too. I am guessing that overall, people find girls the most difficult to supervise.
I say it depends. There are some groups of girls that develop unsolvable conflicts, it seems. They can thoroughly try my patience. But I have encountered it with boys too.
Often it is the boys running out to play and run and enjoy the fresh air. But many girls do as well.

I think it's girls, just going on my memories of primary school. The boys were more likely to be falling over, but the girls were more likely to be hatching complex plots to ruin each other

I used to play football with the boys because I couldn't be bothered with (or understand) the politics of the girls

I never did but I would say it would be both. I have had all boys so not sure how girls that age behave
