Today is my birthday!! Still had to fulfill my duties and go to work though, no escaping that!
At work, I was pleasantly surprised that my coworkers remembered that it was my birthday, one gave me 3 boxes of lemonade mix so that I have something to drink when I'm roasting in my paint suit, another bought me ice cream, and another bought me a lottery ticket (though it wasn't a winner, it's the thought that counts).
First time I've ever been treated so kindly at work, I feel appreciated 
Now I'm about to meet my family out for dinner!

Happy birthday. Mine was 4 month ago. I got special things like cake and and dinner only lol but I don't mind that it's only that I get because its the thought as well. My cousin sends me gifts by mail like gift cards and my brothers take me to dinner where the server hears its my birthday and gives me a surprising cake. My parents take me to lunch as well and if it's not that, my mom throws a birthday dinner on Saturdays and invites guests so it ends ups like a pool party.

That sounded like quite an eventful birthday! I'm the type of person that feels bad when people spend money to get me gifts, but the thought definitely helps you to feel appreciated

Happy birthday! Sounds like you had a good one.
In a couple weeks it will be my stepdaughter's birthday...she will be 16.
