Is refurbished phone good

I can see lots of refurbished phone on sale. I have not tried one but some are selling fast and because of limited supply also they just were gone fast also. Specially if the seller has a good reputation. And the price is really low and very affordable compared to brand new. Maybe one day when i think i need to replace my phone i might buy a refurbished instead of a brand new. It doesn't matter if it's already been a year or more since it's released on the market as long as the phone has good specs.

For some reason I don't think I'll ever buy one. The main reason being, the validity of any new phone in the market itself is hardly 2 yrs.. you start seeing issues with them. If you buy a refurbished version, you can't expect more performance for anything more than 6-12 months is what I believe.
