Does wearing silver really have health benefits?

Many friends of mine wear necklaces or rings having pure silver in their bodies. They told me they want some part of the body to be connected with silver. The health benefits attached includes prevention from flu and cold, better blood circulation, healing wounds to mention a few. They told me that the bacteria and toxins are taken up by the silver, and the body is made free from them. I never tried it. I wonder scientifically does the metal silver really have these values?

I am not sure. But here we think if your silver necklace turns black or darker, that means to say that your health is not very good. In the ancient days, I heard the silver tableware could test whether the food was poisonous or not.
