I am extremely frugal. Well, years ago, I was reading a library cookbook (but it has been so long that I do not remember the cookbook's name) and read about a lady and what she would do when there was no grocery money. Ever since, I have prepared this atleast 2 to 3 times a week.
You are bound to find some sort of these ingredients lurking in your kitchen.
The title of this recipe is Mix and Match Skillet.
Ingredients
1 Vegetable
1 Meat
1 Soup
1 Pasta
Instructions
Bring to a boil, then simmer for 25 minutes.
The ingredients can be of ANY vegetable, meat, soup and pasta.
I hope you have found this to be helpful!

Awhile ago i made a good pasta dish from some left over in our fridge. Left pasta. Bring it to boil until aldente then chop some garlic, onion, tomato and bellpepper and a bit of butter. They cook it in low heat all together. Just add soem salt and pepper to taste or some chili if you want it a bit spicy and some cheese if there is any and yum this is so good and healthy.
Are you willing to try this?

I like. I usually use a ton of seasoning and oil with spaghetti sauce mixed with the pasta.

That's a great little recipe! I like the idea of the pasta just thrown in there so that you don't have to cook, drain, and add ingredients.
I am also very frugal and about once a month I make soup from all the scraps and leftovers I add to a container in the freezer. There might be a few crumbs of hamburger, some chicken, a couple green beans added each day and when the container is full I make the soup. I even save bones to in the freezer to make stock for the soup when I can.
Right now I have "leftover quiche" in the oven.

@Spontaneo Oh, yes! Especially in the summer when I don't want the extra heat of the stove cooking. I love my crock pot!

Leave out the meat if need be. Probably would still taste good!
