Why is there suffering in this world?
The second factor as to why there is suffering in this world is what are called RANDOM EVENTS.
In the Bible at Luke 13:4, 5 you can read about a large tower in Jerusalem, in the first century, that fell and killed 18 people. When Jesus referred to this incident, he said: “Do you think they were more guilty than anyone else who lived in Jerusalem?”
Certainly not! They were not being punished by God.
Jesus knew what God’s Word said at Ecclesiastes 9:11: “Time and unforeseen events overtake” us all. In other words, accidents happen.
Many tragedies occur because a victim is in the wrong place at the wrong time or because of human error. Reports show that many people ignore warnings, especially concerning hurricanes and floods and volcanoes, and where buildings are not constructed to withstand severe weather and earthquakes, people are killed an injured.
So, in some cases, it is man’s mismanagement of the Earth-including unsafe buildings and bridges and ignorance of the earth’s natural forces, that is often at the root of natural disasters.
When Adam rejected God’s divine guidance-the very guidance that was needed to keep humans safe, even from natural disasters, humans began to make bad choices in many different circumstances. However, God will NOT allow this situation to continue indefinitely.
The Major reason however, is the third factor in this scenario and that is what I will discuss in Part 4.

Now that is something I had not thought about. I know many people who hear about a random circumstance like a car falling into a sinkhole or a neglected bridge collapsing and say that God is punishing people. People who think like that had a very sick concept of who God is, in my opinion. Thanks for pointing out this cause that I had neglected to consider!

I'm glad that I was able to mention this to everyone. It is something to consider. Have you read Part 4 yet? Have you watched the video? This is such an important subject that I had hoped that more would take the time to read it. If we are really living in the "last days" and I truly believe that we are, we need to find out all we can about this subject and what God expects of us.

@IreneVincent I have not seen Part 4 yet. I tend to avoid videos, preferring to read rather than listen and watch. But I will watch it I have to in order to understand the discussion. I'll look tomorrow, I'm up way too late due to personal concerns and hope to be sleeping soon.

@dragon54u Let me know what you think about the video. It's just three minutes or so long, but very eye-opening.
