I wish this day would be a lucky one, a happy one for us, unlike what others think of this date. It's mere superstition. And what's with the number 13 and Friday at that?
Maybe unlucky because there is a weather disturbance and it has been raining on and off the whole night. And later, we will attend the baptism of our therapist's son.
I wish it would not by muddy going in their place. That's the only thing I considered "unlucky" when our vehicle's tires got stuck in mud and we have to walk that slippery, muddy road!

I don't know if I'm just getting confused, but maybe the origins of the superstition is from a horror film? I am neither a film enthusiast or a horror fan.

I thinks so too! That movie, Friday the 13th! I don't believe it too, but I prayed hard yesterday not to meet any untoward incident.

13 is just a number. Every month has a 13, just not always on Friday.

We walked because the road is so narrow, we could not pass because there's already some vehicles that occupied the roadsides.
