What would you like to buy? New cars or the second-hand cars?

Recently I consider to buy a car to work.
But have no idea of difference between new cars and the second-hand cars.
It seems that there is not much difference of price between them. The price of new cars would be a 10-20% more than the old cars, I think.
However, I'm afraid of getting cheat from the second-hand cars.
If you are going to buy cars, what will you prefer to buy?

I have had both. I prefer second hand cars with a clean history.

sometimes I prefer that too. But as I know little about the car, so I even don't have idea of how to see whether it has a clean history or not.

@snowy22315 There is nothing wrong to have a second-hand car. It is better to check them before buying it. I do agree with you that it should be in good condition.

Well if I have money needed to buy car i would choose the brand new of course.

If I have the means to buy a brand new car I would. but secondhand cars aren't that bad.

if I could find one second-hand car with clean history, I will buy one.
