Is it just me or some companies make it hard for you to pay your bill?

I always find it hard to pay our water bill, It seems that they change the process every month. Last month all we needed was the bill and to fill out a form .
Now a side from the bill we need to get a payment request (whatever that is) coming from the distributor.. uhhh! now I have to go there,hassle. but that's process so i'll just suck it up.
Sorry for venting.

we just go to any payment center and bring the bill and money. yours sounds complicated. is there a middleman, like the subdivision association handling it?

@averagejane i guess your setup is different because you have a distributor. in the past, we paid direct at the water company's branch office (over the counter) and i don't remember additional steps (payment request).

Strange that they make it hard to give them money. Here, one sends a check and the job is done. I have never had a problem paying a bill.

we have our local water district office, and we pay our bills in their office
