The 14 spinach are healthy for the body.

On the 2nd day of Diwali it is the ritual of eating 14 spinach for the Hindus. The 14 spinach or choddo shakh includes palang shakh, mulo shakh, ol shakh, pui shakh, kolmi shakh, helencha shakh, lal shakh, note shakh and others. These spinach have Vitamin A, B, minerals, improve ones eyesight and create antibodies in the human body. It is a useful tradition on the 2nd day of Deepawali, the festival of lights in India.
