A body of water in the song title is the theme of this particular music series, an idea started by @FourWalls not too long ago. We (I) are (am) at #7: "Name of the Sea" by Dead Guitars.
Although they have been around since 2003, I've only known about Germany's Dead Guitars since 2008, when they were the opening band on a European tour by my favorite band, The Mission, which included four "farewell" shows, which were recorded, in London, and released as four separate live albums. On one of these, Mission leader Wayne Hussey thanked Dead Guitars for opening. If you think I wasn't going to at least check them out, you're crazy.
There are bands that you like the first time you hear them. And then there are bands that you hear and think "THIS is what I've been looking for!" Even if you didn't realize you were looking for anything at the time.
The leadoff track from their 2007 album, Airplanes, "Name of the Sea" once elicited such a reaction in me. While I can't be the only one who's ever listened to this and heard a bit of a Cure influence, the reason I like it so much is that the song is one fantastic piece of dream pop.
And I love dream pop.

I think you'll find that it sounds nothing remotely like the Butthole Surfers.

Live guitars play themselves. The solo's are spectacular!

not heard of these before but really love this song from the youtube listening, thanks. The Cure comparison seems quite apt

Yeah, there's a definite Cure nod there...and I'm not that big a Cure fan, but I can hear it! Kiss them, kiss them, kiss them!
I take it their name was in consideration for the band name countdown, too....

It was, but I went with bands that I've been listening to longer.
