I hope this doesn't open an irate can of worms, but I am just wondering why in the world would anyone be fighting for their little girl to join the boy scouts? The boy scouts is for boys, hence the name BOY Scouts. There are plenty of organizations for girls only. If your daughter wants to learn what they learn in boy scouts, she does not have to join to learn those skills. This is not about boy scout skills and badges, it is about shoving down society's throat, the transgender movement. If someone wants to change who they are when they become an adult, more power to them. But to teach children they are less than wonderful and complete and beautiful because of their gender is abuse. We are damaging are most precious treasures by not validating their uniqueness and preciousness as the gender as which they came into this world. There is a wonder and beauty in girls being girls and boys being boys.

A friend had a meme on Facebook, showing a picture of a Girl Scout. The caption was, "I loved our first Boy Scout camping trip....and now I'm gonna be a mommy."
But you watch, there'll be a lawsuit as soon as a girl ends up pregnant or raped.

you are right. i think the girl scouts learn much the same. there are camps too that teach wilderness skills to girls same as boys. let kids be what or who they feel.

I know, the whole thing is stupid @gnatsmom . We'll just call them 'all'; The Scouts. That should make it 'politically correct' don'tcha think?
