Id really like to know what the point of some of this is?!

So we start math once again, trying to get caught up. She has to do graphs, I can see touching on them again just to remind them. However they have done them the last 3 years in DETAIL. I'm sorry it is a waste of time. Then an assignment again. Not just make a bar graph, a line graph, a Tgraph. But do all 3 for 8 problem Makes for boring long days. She looked at me and said mom I'm done. I said we have to get this done.
She said I'm not doing this again. She wrote to her teacher on the last one, "I'm sorry I don't want to do anymore of these, sorry." And scanned it and sent it in .. lol I know might not have been right to let her do that but I too am tired of the wasted time on some of this stuff. They did not need to waste time drawing all these graphs that many times to see a child gets it.
My rant for the day!

I'm not sorry as I let her do it, but I can bet the teacher is going to say I'm suppose to over see her doing her work. Which I did see, I was sitting right here. lol I just cant get over some of this stuff. My mom watches it all the time, I watch it when Im over there. Im rather floored.. lol Of course I have already gotten into with this same teacher already on the common core math. This is going to be an interesting year for sure! I'm not one to back down, which is why we are homeschooling. I have to say I love the way she said Sorry .. lol

@Ithink good! You shouldnt be. Stick up for what you believe and if you think its been doen too much, it probably has.

I think it depends on what she wants to do. I'd she wants to get into the sciences, it's pretty important. In school I think they try to teach a little of everything so kids can know what they should do when they grow up.
