Laxmipuja and Shyamapuja are celebrated on the 3rd day of Diwali by Hindus. Very creative alpona and rangoli are given with rice husk and colours in the floors on that day. The mud idol of Goddess Laxmi is placed on that alpona and thereafter naibidya in the form of fruits, flowers and sweets are offered. It creates a very sacred atmosphere.
