Songs with bodies of water in the title is the theme of this particular music series, an idea first counted down by @FourWalls . I am at #6: "Dam that River" by Alice in Chains.
If the second track from Alice in Chains' 1992 four-time platinum album, Dirt, "Dam that River," seems angry, that's because it is. Guitarist Jerry Cantrell wrote the song after a physical confrontation between he and drummer Sean Kinney, during which Kinney broke a coffee table over Cantrell's head.
Although the album spawned five singles, "Dam that River" was not one of them. Personally, I think it should have been released over, say, "Them Bones" (a great song, sure, but I do like "River" better.)
No, "Dam that River's" angry lyrics aren't exactly hit material, but consider, for a second, that a lot of Dirt is about heroin addiction, including the first single, "Would?" (#31 on Billboard's Mainstream Rock chart,) and it doesn't seem so bad.
Dark and angry, "Dam that River" flat out rocks. I'm obviously biased, but there are ten great tunes in this countdown. Of those songs, only one other rocks this hard.
Enjoy!

a song inspired by having a table smashed over your head - that is a new one on me

@teamfreak16 there are many songs that wouldn't exist if the writers had not gotten off their heads

"You could never dam that river and maybe I don't give a damn anyway." Good line.

A lot more subtle than "I kicked you in the face."
