Marriage Ritual

Since Indonesia consists of more than 33 tribes, each having their own traditions and languages. One of the traditional custom still being performed is marriage ritual. The couple in the photo were married to each other legitimized by authorized priest. The bride and bridegroom were dressed in traditional clothes. In the photo they were holding two books of marriage. The book are signed by both after each of them reads out the content of the book.
