Do you use an ereader?

I love to read. It is my favourite hobby. But I have always shunned the idea of getting an ereader. Until I started to read a book with over 1,000 pages!! It is so heavy!! That now I am thinking about it. Although I much prefer an actual physical book. How about you? Do you use an ereader ?

Before I like ereader or ebook because I can read through my phone. And since I want to expand my book, I want a physical book to add to my collections.

Yeah, I like physical books, but they can be expensive and take up too much room. (and not to mention you have to go to the store or pay for shippping/wait for it to arive)

@craftsmart Well it could be worth checking out your library on occasion

@YesWay Yes, I do, actually. That's a good idea. I do tend to read online, though. It saves me a trip.

I've never used one. Like you, I prefer an actual book.

I've never used one, and I doubt I will, unless they improve dramatically. Their screens are tiny, and the contrast is not that good. Unless they change, I'll stick with paper and ink books.

@YesWay some shops (physical, not e-shops) let you give it a try. Some book shops also sell them and equally let you read some sample book on them. Just try spending 20-30 minutes on them before you decide to buy one.

I don't really use e-reader. I prefer a real book. It's just no fun when I read books online or by the use of electronics. You see, I have this hobby of smelling new and old books, and I seriously loved it, I don't know why. And the texture of the book's cover and pages are like booster for me to read more

@alian123 I know what you mean. I love the act of physically turning a page

I don't really use an ereader. I have thought of getting one, but I also like to read an actual book, as well.

@dodo19 I can see the convenience of them

I bought a kindle from amazon last year. I still read paper books. I think it's half/half for me. I'm content with it, for two reasons: firstly, when I go on holidays, I don't have to fill half my suitcase with books (and carry them!) and secondly, I can enlarge the text. Especially paperbacks often have small print which I find difficult to read.

@maluse Yes I can see how both of those things are handy
