Married To My Crockpot

A few years ago, I was cooking a new recipe in the oven and some grease started a fire inside. Luckily a roommate got the fire out.
So, I swore to myself I would never use the oven/stove again.
As I do all of the cooking and cleaning for the 3 of us, I whipped out my crockpot and just started using him. I have used the crockpot ever since. Occasionally, I use the microwave too.
Not only are crockpots safe to use, you can save a whole lot of money and stress. I just throw stuff in and let it cook for mostly 4 hours. As I am a freelancer, I especially no longer have to slave over a hot stove.
My favorite recipes for the crockpot are Pizza Soup and Stuffed Pepper Soup. How about you?
I like to tell people that he does all of the cooking, doesn't talk back, smells good and I get to bathe him!

I know several people who uses crockpots. I do not own one.

Love the last few lines. Its rare I use a crock pot. I am not scared of my stove and thank God I have not ever had a serious fire started, just small ones in the dip pans when something boiled over.
I do not like to leave appliances on when I leave the house.

I know what you mean. I do not even use the crockpot unless I am home. Some people leave them on overnight, but I don't. I work at home, so I am usually near it.
