I know that you may have heard this question, or thought of this question sometime in your life. What is the meaning of life? In the 1800's and prior to that, a womans life was basically decided for her. She knew that by the time she came of age, she would be married off to a suitor that her parents had picked. From there, her purpose was to serve her husband and children. A man's purpose was to have a decent job, with enough money to provide for his wife and children. Things have not changed much since then. Yes, woman are allowed to vote now and choose their own husbands. Some men are staying at home looking after the children, while the wife is the breadwinner. So in conclusion, what is the purpose of life? Is it to find your soul mate, settle down, have children and live a happily ever after? Is it to chase your dreams? Is it to do what is expected of you? Or is the question one that cannot really be answered, as we do not know the answers? What is your point of view on this my fellow mylotters? The image above is mine, it is a portrait my grandmother did with fabric paints.

The real of purpose of every man and woman is to get to know God and to do his will. That is what makes us truly happy.

I think of it merely as a transition point, from before birth, life and where we are going next.

Each person has his own meaning of the word life. We have our own interpretation what life is. For me, life is a very precious gift that God has given to us through our parents. Our life will only become meaningful and useful if we will make use of it in a meaningful and useful way. I believe that whatever happens to our life depends on us.
