Last night I went to a local Halloween event with my family. For the most part it was an entirely fun event except for one real obnoxious lady who stood behind me in the line complaining and being rude.
Where I live, the houses are so far apart in many places it makes trick or treating pointless. I'm talking 1 mile walks between homes. So churches do a number of little events where people decorate their cars and do "trick or treating" in church parking lots. Its called Trunk or Treating.
So we went to one last night and this lady kept talking to her son on how he is the ONLY one celebrating the day right because hes dressed as Death. Everyone else is wrong. Its not a day about getting candy (shes in line to get candy BTW) and just about every kid in a costume was the poor subject of her disgusting mouth. It was one insult or another about their costumes.
Like really? How can anyone look at a smiling face of a child enjoying a holiday and be so cruel?

I would have told her how stupid she is being a hypocrite getting candy when "halloween isn't about getting candy".

I so wanted to! I also didn't want to make a scene. She was clearly acting agitated and just very crazy behavior. A few times I wondered if she was drunk in public for how loud she was. So I just kept trying to distance myself and most importantly, my kids. Yet she kept following us! lol
