Winter in Chennai is pleasant.

When I travelled to Sri Lanka from Kolkata in December last year, I had to stay in Chennai during the return journey for few days. It was winter. Although I did not get time visit the different places like Marina Beach in Chennai, the short stay was very pleasant. It was cool and not cold. As the place has religious bent of mind we could still see diyas and lights lit for pujas and Hindu festivals.
