Not getting the idea about the Tilting mechanism of Vertical blinds

I am recently trying to make vertical blinds at home. I gathered all the vanes made of wood and kept them ready for preparing the item. But, I am not getting the tilting mechanism required for it. If I can not get it, I have to leave it in the middle and there will be wastage of the material. I googled for the mechanism. Everywhere, the mechanism is given according to their own products and not a general mechanism involved in it.Fixxmyblinds.com has given a mechanism on fixing their Tilters to the vertical blinds. It does not serve my purpose. When I got time and patience to make it why should I order for those items online? Is it not waste of expenditure? I am still searching for it. So far, I am not getting it. I will start my work at 2 P.M and hope it would be completed successfully. This is really a great work to work with wood and doing some products out of it. Do you enjoy working on wood like making some boxes, tables etc? They give rich look to the house when attached to the windows.
