Most of the people hate bitter gourd because of its bitter taste..
But I like it very much when it's cooked by my mom.
My mom do lots of dishes with bitter gourd like curry, sambar, chips, gravy and so on...

When it's cooked by my mom, I don't feel the bitter flavour.
Bitter gourd contains lots of nutrients like vitamin, minerals, proteins, carbohydrates etc.
It also contains lots of medicinal values .
It helps to cure diabetes.
It is best remedy for diabetic patients.some will eat raw bitter gourd... I don't like it
In Tamil, bitter gourd is called as "paagarkaai".
Do you like bitter gourd?
What form of bitter gourd you like, whether gravy or curry or...?
Apart from this,if you know anything about bitter gourd please do share.

This is a favorite of mine and my favorite dish of bitter gourd is the one with sauteed ground beef and scrambled eggs.

I saute it in garlic, tomatoes, onions and then add eggs, salt and pepper to taste. You can add meat or shrimp if you like; then eat it with rice :) Sometimes, I make it into something sort of salad or appetizer, still with tomatoes and onions but with green lime juice (vinegar will also do), a bit of sugar here and there, some salt and pepper.
It's healthy to eat bitter gourd. I like it.

@Teekaaa We slice the gourd after scooping out and soak it in salt, squeeze out the liquid and then cook it in the usual masala adding jaggery.

It is blamed for the reason why Okinawans have the longest life span in the world.

@hereandthere Most likely it was. people from Okinawa can live up to 120. They are not even vegans, they eat bitter melon with pork.

I like having fried bitter gourd in the curd. It can be eaten like that. Bitter gourd in curry is a bit sour.
