A penny for your thoughts.

A thought just crossed my mind a moment ago. "In 1522, Sir Thomas More wrote (in 'Four Last Things'): 'It often happeth, that the very face sheweth the mind walking a pilgrimage, in such wise that other folk sodainly say to them a peny for your thought.'" Google search This is a reminder to me of why I joined myLot, as I enjoy a well thought out discussion and sharing my thoughts with others; by way of my responses. Although, the site pays meager wages for our participation, its the enjoyment that brings me back, time and time again. Some of the topics reach down deep into our psyche, as you can see the emotions flowing into every statement typed. While others are more whimsical in nature and carefree, void of worry.

i like that there is a mix of topics here. sometimes, i'm just reading and learning. sometimes, i'm chuckling. sometimes, i participate by sharing my thoughts, my suggestions or my support. i don't really prioritize earnings, even back in the old mylot.

A stimulating discussion is an endeavor, that is a form of payment, in and of itself. Although, there is a precaution that one must adhere to in order to keep one's wits about themselves. It is do not focus solely on political meanderings, as it is a depressing state of mind One must find a balance of enjoyable substance vs negative thoughts for the well being of ones' mind to thrive.

I wish more people here think like you instead of stressing so much about earnings. I love the interaction that takes place here and I've learned so much from the myLot community. That, to me is what this site is really about.

People take for granted their interactions with others. The real value of communication is based in the knowledge that is shared from a different perspective. People fear interaction with others for the very reason that they should want to interact with them; being judged for their lack of knowledge on any given topic. America has become superficial, dumbing itself down because of this.
