In the Kalimpong Orchid Garden, there is are dangerous insectivorous orchids as well. Those insectivorous plants like Venus fly trap, Nepenthes Khaziana are kept in closed enclosures, cages, because they can harm small birds, animals, they are carnivorous. Oscar winning Director Satyajit Ray wrote a fiction story named Septopuser Khide, there the dangerous Septopus killed the owner himself has it started eating flesh of dogs and other animals and then human beings.

We have pitcher plants in our country, they trap insects in their pitcher with sticky substance instead of devouring them like venus fly traps, hope nobody thinks of genetically altering them

Thanks louievill. There are certain carnivorous plants whose greed increases, killing insects is fine, but if it starts killing rabbits, frogs, hens, it becomes dangerous.
