What if soulmates exist?

How can you definitely know whether soulmates exists or not? Should you just settle to the best you found? Or should you search for him/her intensely? And when you found someone, how can you know there was not someone else better somewhere far away?

Soul mates are not born, they're made over many years in a marriage.

@enlightenedpsych2 I'm with Vicki on this one. There is nothing predestined or magical. It is the meeting of two people that match well and they feel loved, secure and complete. Sometimes it happens. It is a coincidence.
However, two people that both get what they want and need out of a relationship can keep growing and the attachment becomes stronger with time.

@enlightenedpsych2 Sorry, but I don't believe in pre-selected match making by cosmic forces. I believe we make our own choices in life.

We might find one or we might not. Who knows?

@enlightenedpsych2 People are people and they come with a lot of baggage and insecurities depending on what they have gone through life or the fears they may have. Each person is an individual. .
