I was on Facebook a little bit ago which is a pretty rare thing for me these days and I saw a name of an acquaintance from when we lived in Pensacola. I couldn't find his Facebook page, we were never friends on Facebook but he had been friends with people I was friends with. So I googled him, and I knew he wasn't squeaky clean. I was aware that he had done jail time but after clicking one of the search results I realized what I had been told about him and who he really was were completely different. This is the story I found. http://www.pnj.com/story/news/crime/2017/02/07/boyette-rice-still-run-santa-rosa-press-conference-set-begin/97585966/

@thislittlepennyearns Yeah, I'm sure a killing spree was definitely not on your radar.

@thislittlepennyearns I found this article about one of my classmates a few years ago. It was horrifying.
State police say an Indiana County man used a hunting knife to kill his two young daughters before following his estranged wife home from work, where he also killed her and set fire to both of their houses.

@spiderdust I found the news.story was in people and on CNN too. And I live in the boonies now so I was oblivious to the whole thing.

You never really think too much into all these stories you read in the papers and see on the news until it hits close to home. Kind of strikes a nerve when it's somebody you know. All of a sudden sh*t becomes real.

@thislittlepennyearns If David Hasslehoff is in it, that is your first sign that the movie is going to be bad.

It was a shock for sure. Although I guess the warning signs were probably there for people that knew him better. In other news I'm watching a horrible movie with David Hasslehoff in it.

@spiderdust I did a little more digging and found it. It's in remembrance of him.

It is always unnerving when someone you used to know turns out to be a murderer or makes the news from some other sort of crime. A friend of mine from middle school is serving a life sentence for murder, and one of my boyfriend's cousins (who I have hung out with a few times) is also currently serving a life sentence for murdering somebody. I think this acquaintance of yours has their crimes beat, though. How creepy. I wonder what on earth could happen in someone's life to lead then to going on a killing spree like that?
