The Shantiniketan Express going from Kolkata to Shantiniketan is a good train. It takes only 3 hours to reach Shantiniketan from Kolkata, unless the train is late. But there are bayuls inside the train, international tourists and there are musical sessions. As Tagore created Rabindrasangeet and folk songs, the folk effect is there in the train journey.

I understand that this train is based in India. Can you tell me what is a Bayuls? Anyway, it looks like a fun train. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks Angel, bayuls are a folk singer community. the folk song is named as bayul. It is a kind of high pitch song sung with a musical instrument called dotara. This folk singers enter the train and sing and create an atmosphere whereby people feel they are in Shantiniketan.
