Great Bands from Idaho

Most everyone in the U.S. knows that the state of Idaho can be proud of its potatoes but it can also be equally proud of the music that comes from there. Even though this is not about one of my favorite bands Paul Revere and the Raiders they did come from Boise, Idaho and were popular in the 1960s and 1970s. In 1971 they scored a number one hit with “Indian Reservation”.
Now for more modern music also from Boise comes Built to Spill. This band is an American Indie rock band. They came into the limelight in the mid-1990s. So far they have released eight albums with the recent being Untethered Moon in 2015. Among their best songs are “Time Trap”, “Carry the Zero”, “Broken Chairs” and others.
How many of you know this band and how many remember Paul Revere and the Raiders?

How interesting, now this is educational. I have only met one person in my life from Idaho. I think there was someone from Idaho on here that I saw a while back also. Other than that, was about it.
The song does have a cool indie rock feel to it. I will have to look into them further. Nice they were able to stick around so long and make 8 albums. Thanks for sharing.

Paul Revere and the Raiders were admired for their uniforms and yes, Lindsay was the handsomest but my teen idol days only came around in the 1970s and then the only one me and my girlfriends listened to and talked about was David Cassidy @JohnRoberts How time flies Lindsay is 75 and Cassidy has dementia.
