Happy Monday all! Writing from the gym as I get warmed up on a tredmill *so excuse the typos*. Has anyone seen this movie, Get Out that came out earlier this year? My sister made me watch this last night and Ive just never seen anything like it. Essentially this young, and talented black man goes to meet his white girlfriends parents for a weekend after dating for 4 months... And he essentially starts to discover this weird families secrets.... Hard to describe without giving it away. It is categorized as a horror movie and is pretty gory at the end. I never see horror movies with these kind underlying themes if discrimunation. What did you think of this movie? And what exactly do you think it was trying to "say"?

Yeah I saw that. It is alright, kind of been down before, just without the race aspect. I do think the ending was kind of cool. I mean if people are racist, they should not win. I never will get how a country or land can call their self a free people while oppressing others.

Exactly. I thought this movie was interesting in trying to put some spotlight on some of this but of course in a disturbing fashion. Disturbing for sure. Hows your Monday going @crossbones27?

I kind of like it, i am glad about the ending, since i saw an alternate one which was quite darker and depressing I think it just says that racism still really exists, even though people don't even know that they are racist

Good point. Like subconscious racism. I definitely agree. Now you have me curious what the alternate ending is!
