What takes away your concentration?

When you're trying to focus on doing something important (like a specific function at work or a domestic activity, for example)... What usually takes away your concentration? It's not something that necessarily irritates you... Just that it takes away your focus.

Loud television programs or really loud and bad music. That is what most takes me off from what I am doing.

Whenever I sit with my books to focus on a particular subject......It is not my friends, family or whatsapp notifications that distract me. But it is just purely my 'thoughts' that diverts me......Random thoughts start gushing into my brain......causing me to lose my concentration......But I overcome it everytime by controlling my thoughts and forcing myself to stay focussed......

The phone ringing and it seems to do that a lot. It makes me irritated too when it happens a lot within a hour or so. Another is a noise from outside that isn't normal to me.

I can be focused . . . but I can't if I'm really hungry.

I am a blonde and that is one of the things they say about us blondes. I can get distracted very easily.

When I do not feel well it is hard for me to concentrate on something or if reading a book and I continue to read the same page over and over again because I am thinking of all that has to be done.

Notifications on my phone, my phone in general. Sometimes doing 'research' on the internet gets me distracted because sometimes I start off on my laptop being productive but then I find something that I get curious about and start researching a random topic. Also my dog is a distraction. He is very cute and sometimes I just like to stop and pet him for a while.
