Carpe' Diem Evening

My daughter called me at noon today to invite me to attend an event with her, my son and his partner. It started at 7 pm. I almost declined because I had other plans. But I decided that I should not miss this opportunity. We had a 45 minute drive to get to the venue, but it was well worth it! A woman named Rachel Miller gave a presentation, sharing her personal story. Rachel is a Holocaust survivor, a cancer survivor and also lost a son to AIDS, among other things. Yet she maintains an amazing positive attitude! When I hear or read stories like Rachel's, I usually have thoughts like "I am so grateful for everything! I will never complain again!" Realistically, I know I will complain again, but I was truly inspired by this beautiful 80+ year old woman!

It is really inspirational to hear someone who has been through so much and is still able to be so positive.

Thank you @JamesHxstatic. We enjoyed the presentation so much and it gave us a lot to talk about on the drive home.
