Our family friend drove me to the hospital today so that I could get an MRI on my spine. When I had been to the doctor previously, I described to her the numbness that I get in my legs when I walk more than a short distance. She suggested it might be spinal stenosis, and scheduled the MRI. Aside from all the noise (the Magnetic Resonance Imaging machine makes a lot of loud whirring and clunking sounds as it works -- the technician even put plugs in my ears), just lying there with my eyes closed was kind of relaxing. Our friend also took me to the post office so that I could send a long-overdue package. That was a relief. I should, according to the MRI technician, get the results of the MRI that I had over the phone in a couple of days. I'd sure like to know what's going on.
