The Educated Fool

United States

Education is a responsibility, not a luxury. As I've bared witness to the educated people in the U.S, abuse their responsibilities to their fellow man. In this absurd barrage of Belligerent and condescending beratements. It is a sad state of affairs to say the least. All of the name calling and lack of self-control has scared the United States of America. People can no longer have a meaningful debate or conversation about multiple topics without resorting to a childish state of mind. The purpose for a debate or conversation with another person, that either does not agree with you ideologies, or is not educated on a certain topic is to both educate and give different perspectives on any given subject matter. However, the Educated Fools deny this opportunity to those that put forth the efforts to openly debate their ideologies, this is a Fools errand. People that have a good foundation of beliefs are always open to debates. People that have little to no foundation with which to support their beliefs will shut down due to fear of public humiliation. Becoming belligerent and violent without just cause. The Educated Fool is not as educated as they would like to believe. This is known as The Dunning-Kruger Effect.(Reference Google for full description for those not aware of this term.) If your going to stand for something then make certain that the foundation your standing on will support you. Stop believing hearsay as the gospel and do your due diligence. Your responsible for others educations whether you like it or not. Consider the following. We humans are social beings. We come into the world as the result of others' actions. We survive here in dependence on others. Whether we like it or not, there is hardly a moment of our lives when we do not benefit from others' activities. For this reason it is hardly surprising that most of our happiness arises in the context of our relationships with others. --Dalai Lama (in What Makes People Happy)

Learning is a life long curve which we should absorb like a sponge. I sometimes find that people tend to underestimate their true abilities rather than overestimate. Of course there are some that are the exception and are quite blinkered and delusional making them over confident as opposed to competent.
