It Just Does Not Work Like That In Real Life.

Sure I know we are friends, but were we really. We just served together and pretty sure some could not stand me. I could not stand many of them, but there was that common respect. Not sure why many became my Facebook friend. I mean I could write "Trump is the greatest President in US history" and they would not throw any love my way. The ones that are my friends are very quiet because they know I am right, but do not want to upset the powers at be. Why I am punk rock baby and they not. Anyway, decide to give in and like all their Marine Corps birthday posts and even a few Army Veterans days post. That being said, was nothing like when I got out of the Marines and went into California National Guard. Was on our 2 week deployment and not one of the field ones, an on one of the base ones in most cases. Anyway, work was over, believe Lakers were winning the championship and my buddies in those days were sitting around talking about their Army days. Some one that was being chilled, just said, Marine here. I was like starting a little crap with my new Army buddies and was like, "hell yeah, me too." Next thing you know the whole table was surrounded by former Marines, young an old. Marine here, me too. Poor 5 man army crew was outgunned by 30 to 35 former Marines. Next day, they were talking. I cannot believe how many former Marines their were last night. We all got along great and was probably one of my proudest moments that I saw in military in how no one got stupid and everyone just let people be proud. Facebook just cannot capture that.
