Emoticons- Yay or Nay?

I enjoy using the fun emoticons when posting here, on Facebook and another discussion board I'm on. I use them in texting sometimes too. I think they can be fun and truly add interest and variety to a response or discussion. 
I'm not likely to use them in a serious/sad discussion though.
Some people find them annoying and juvenile though. I can understand that point-of-view. Especially if the tiny faces and pics are overused. 
What do you think about emojis?

I do not use emojis very often. If people likes to use them; I have no problem with that.

I like using emojis and use them all the time. I can't find them here though. I tried copy paste from bing images and it didn't work here. Know how to get them here on mylot...let me know about it....thanks!

Thanks so much for your help. I like using emojis and I been trying hard to find out how to do it here at mylot.com with no success. Now I know what to do to get my emoji. Emojis helps you express your thoughts quickly and 'funly. Thanks so much for your help!

I like them especially to indicate humour. I try not to overuse them as I remember on another forum I belong to one girl got banned for putting dozens on her posts and then ignoring warnings.
