Favorite "Dream" Songs #9 - "New Gold Dream"

Everybody dreams, which is the theme of this particular countdown: songs with "dream" in the title. We are at #9 - "New Gold Dream" by Simple Minds.
The title track to their 1982 album, New Gold Dream (81-82-83-84,) "New Gold Dream" is a dynamic tune that is very much a Simple Minds classic.
For whatever reason, "New Gold Dream" was not released as a single, yet despite that lack of exposure, the song remains a fan favorite.
I have linked to a boffo live performance in Edinburgh. Simple Minds is one of the best opening acts I've seen (they opened for the Pretenders.) They are, in fact, the only opener I've seen that got called out for two encores. This video will show you just what a great live band Simple Minds really is.

One of my absolute all time favorite songs. There is a German extended play remix that is a mind blower. It's dreamlike, hypnotic, trance. I love Don't You Forget About Me but New Gold Dream is unearthly.

@teamfreak16 There is a good video there of the song with Laurel and Hardy! The German version is hard to find. Never found it on eBay.
