My husband watches certain shows everyday. If they are on multiple times a day, he will watch them again and even again. He loves to watch the news and weather. He has total faith in the weatherman. Even though they give a five day forecast, he has to watch it everyday and its a tragedy if he misses it. He can't turn off the radio in the car if it's news or weather. He can't leave before a show on TV is over. You are not allowed to change channels to watch something else before he has watched the credits. Isn't this a little obsessive?

Anything done or used to excess can be considered an addiction.
The definition of addiction is when an object or substance becomes a need without which one can not function.
