Got Most of My Christmas Shopping Done!

My sister and I went out today to do some Christmas shopping. We found some good deals at Target and I wound up getting most of my shopping out of the way. I spent more than I should have, but at least I'm almost done now. I just have my sister and dad to buy for, and I will probably get my boyfriend a couple more gifts (if I can ever figure out what to get him!)
My sister was upset that her total came to more than she expected when she paid, though. She bought some stuff that was supposed to be 25% off and they did not honor the discount on one of the items. We were pressed for time when we were paying, as our ride was on his way to pick us up, so she didn't have time to argue it then. She is going back tomorrow to either have them refund the difference or give her a full refund and she will buy a cheaper item. The item in question was a game for our brother and his fiancee -- it's normal price was $29.99, and the sale price should have been $22.50. It's just a $7 difference, but $7 makes a difference to her. She would not have bought the game to begin with if it wasn't supposed to be on sale.
Other than that, we had a really good day. We had lunch at Subway, walked around our downtown area where all the stores and the shopping mall are located, and spent more money than we should. We both got toasted white mocha frappuccinos from the Starbucks inside Target and enjoyed those while we shopped. I'm pretty pleased with the purchases I made and hope my brothers and my mom will appreciate their Christmas presents. I also found the complete "Atlantis" series by Gena Showalter, who is one of my favorite authors, at the Goodwill, and bought all of them for less than one book would cost brand new. So I am happy about that. I have read the first two books on my Kindle and I have been wanting to read the others -- now I have all of them in print. I guess that was my early Christmas gift to myself.
Now I am home and I am bushed. Who knew shopping could be so exhausting?
I still have some writing assignments I need to work on, though (gotta earn back what I spent today, and then some) so I guess I should get started on that. In a bit. First I'm going to try to catch up with everyone on here.
How was your Saturday? Have you started Christmas shopping yet (if you celebrate the holiday)?

$7 is a big difference this time of year. Especially when you buy for so many that you could use that $7.. i stopped buying games 3 years ago. Too expensive.
Glad you had a good time besides that though

Yes, exactly. Games definitely are expensive, but since they were on sale we thought it was a good deal.

Did not yet started the Christmas shopping because the 13th month salary was not yet given to us, I hope they give it to us the earlier time.

the soonest the better, hope our manager will think of advantages of receiving the 13th month pay earlier.

Hope your sister gets the refund that she deserves.
No Christmas shopping for me as I intend to just give cash and gift cards this Christmas.

Yes, she got the refund! She was very happy about that.
Cash and gift cards are always excellent gifts. Can't go wrong with either of those.

I hope so too. She's really disappointed about it. It would have been a good deal at the discount price, but she just can't justify spending the full price on it.

I always require at least a day to recover after a shopping trip!
