Want to have plans for Thanksgiving

I don't think I am going to be doing anything for Thanksgiving. My mother and my sister are going to be going to my brother's house in Indiana for the holiday and I will be staying at home with the dogs.
I would love to be able to go to my in-law's house for Thanksgiving and spend the day with the kids (they are still in their grandparent's custody although I typically get to see them every weekend). However, my father-in-law is still a jerk and I'm not allowed to step foot on his property.
My best friends are going to be going to North Carolina so they can spend some time with the grandchildren (their story is another weird story). So that means that pretty much I will probably be fixing some cereal and eating that during the day and doing just a little bit of shopping.
Does anyone have any big plans for the holiday?

Your children are living with their grandparents? I must have missed this story.. I shall go look for it. Hopefully you're able to find some plans for the holiday.
I cook here at home. It's just us and the kids, so usually it doesn't feel like much of anything special. However my oldest has moved out and is on his own now, so he comes home for the holidays and that's nice. He doesn't live far away, but I still don't see much of him because he works 2 jobs.
