Former Philadelphia Eagles and San Francisco 49ers head coach Chip Kelly was hired by the UCLA Bruins to succeed Jim Mora as the head coach of the Bruins football program on Saturday.
Mora who was terminated by UCLA after the Bruins lost to the USC Trojans in the final football game of the 2017 regular season, will be replaced by a football coach who is known for his offensive game plan attacks.
Kelly was the former head coach of the Oregon Ducks college football program from 2009-2012 returns to the PAC 12 Conference where he signed a five year, $23.3 million dollar contract.
It is evident that Kelly will have more success coaching in the college ranks that his tenure in the National Football League as the head coach of the Philadelphia Eagles from 2013-2015 and the San Francisco 49ers in 2016.
To put it mildly, Bruins fans are shocked that their new football coach is an outsider without any ties with the Bruins football program.
