Melting Ice makes me really nervous, when it's Greenland Ice!

I am right now, listening to a video from YouTube about the ice melting from Greenland, lowest and highest climates on record, intensity of storms, the new normal. I have recently looked at the Earth from Google Earth and seeing the possibility of eventual sea levels rising over the next 50 years will do things that make life difficult for those living along shorelines where the land meets with the sea. I wonder what Greenland will look like when it is actually Green, not White as snow!
Greenland’s ice sheet is melting much faster than scientists thought Until recently, researchers believed that Greenland was losing 550 trillion pounds of i...

@thislittlepennyearns Sad the Killer Whale had do suffer from the changes. Looks like that whale needed to stay put in a place where people would get to see him and he could eat all the fish he wanted. Out in the wild is not possible it seems for a whale that got used to domestic living.

Nice to see that you are concerned. Too bad there are not enough of us at this time to shift things the other way. Will the world change?

I think if a mass migration of humans takes place people will have to take notice and do something or stop doing something ASAP. I am not in a hurry to see it coming.

Yes, I for one am for making that happen, as I do not want to face a world that is in danger of mass extinction. No one in their right frame of mind would want to keep on doing Business As Usual. I don't even drive any more. I walk or ride a bike or use public transportation. I recycle as much as possible. I separate real garbage from recyclable trash and that in itself is a voluntary thing the City of Dallas offers with the Big Blue Tote. I use re-usable cloth grocery bags and if they give me the plastic bags I take them and keep them until I can put them in a RECYCLE BIN at the Kroger store. I try my best to keep a positive state of mind. Working together for the common good, building community, is what Guy McPherson talks about in the lecture I am watching now.

Not yet, and I would really hate to have us move to Michigan or Indiana just to keep from burning up. Guy McPherson, on YouTube, keeps saying it's gonna be too late for humans in less than 10 years. Can you imagine it being that fast?
Guy McPherson, live at ThatChannel lays it all out. As Homer says in The Iliad, "any moment might be our last. Everything is more beautiful because we are do...

@nanette64 , It's not a long time to adjust. Here is another video you might like, According to him, and the doomsday clock, we are now right at 3 minutes 'til midnight, actually as of 2016 since the 1980's. Probability is high. 2016, and now the need for action more action to 2.5 minutes until midnight to be accurate. Yes, it is so beautiful. I wish I was there having a cold cappuccino wearing a fur coat and listening to the silence but only for about 10 minutes, then it would be BACK TO DALLAS and the heat wave of November 2017!

That is an interesting thought but I have so many of my own worries now that I don't really have the time to worry about this.
