Why do they wear Sun glasses?

During my stay in Bahamas Island I noticed that many ladies moving along the beach in bikini wear Sun Glasses though the rays are not so intense and the Sun is bright. I looked at them with a surprise. I still do not understand why do they wear Sun Glasses?

i think those with light-colored eyes are sensitive to sunlight.

Maybe a few but not a majority of ladies. That is why I am surprised to see them wearing glasses even when the Sun is not bright.

I usually wear sunglasses while I'm in need. I'm sensitive to sunlight. My eyes got hurt if exposed a long time under the sunlight. I think sunglasses are protective to eyes.

I do agree with you. Most of the ladies in bikini prefer to wear them. That is quite surprising.

But, I do not think they wear glasses as a fashion.
