Chapter One David opened the fridge and pulled out a soda trying to explain why we should go to a haunted house around the corner. This house was a place where a family was supposedly haunted by spirits and now he wants to go check it out. I for one didn't think that it was a good idea so I decided to stay back. My friend Ashley was calling me a chicken but I didn't care for her words because I wasn't stupid or interested in going to some house where I could be haunted for the rest of my life or put my family in jeopardy. David opened the soda and started to drink as he talked about the house. I just sat there listening and zoning out at the same time because I really wasn't interested in anything that neither of them had to say. Ashley told me that she was going to go and have fun so I gave her one of my crosses and told her to be careful. I gave them a warning that if the rumors are true and something happens to not come back to me because I don't want any part of those spirits. They left my house around midnight and never came back so I figured that I would see them at school the next day. I went ahead and laid down to go to sleep.
