Do people have intelligent discussions here?

Or is everyone just trying to post as much as possible without thought as to what they're posting? I think that if people put a little more thought into the topic before creating a new discussions they'll find that people will want to respond. Then you'll have an exchange of ideas and the discussion will take on a life of its own with people wanting to participate because they want in on the conversation. I'm not talking about deep philosophical discussions either, although those are good too, because a discussion can be fun while being relevant. I mean, how many "I like blue, it is my favorite color" discussions can be posted before people get tired of posting here and this message board dies? I understand that people want to pad their post counts to earn money, but why not have real conversations while doing it?

I think people find it takes longer to think up intelligent questions, and it also takes longer to respond to them. It's much easier for people how are out to make money to just say, "Hey, I like blue! What about you?" And then all the posters can just give one word responses. I personally prefer the more intelligent discussions.

I don't think they find intelligent conversation boring, just too time consuming. And I think you're right, they are just here to earn. I'm not here to earn. If I wanted to earn more money, I'd take on a 2nd job for minimum wage and could make much more than we do here. People should post for the fun of it and for getting new ideas rather than thinking this place has some great earning capacity. If you thought of this place as a job, if you're making a few cents an hour, you might as well be working in a sweat shop right?

I noticed that a lot of the people posting here are from countries all over the world. I'm in the US, so a few cents isn't a lot of money to me. But I'm sure that people in other parts of the world are posting a whole lot of nothing and getting twenty to fifty dollars a week, which goes a lot further in other countries. So I'm sure this has a lot to do with some of the junk posts.

Do you think it's because people think intelligent means boring? I'm having trouble finding interest in the, "I like blue..." type of discussions and I can't believe others find that type of topic interesting. This leads me to believe that people are posting only to earn.

I agree, I have asked the same things, and also, why do relevant discussions have no answers? I´ve made a topic of ideas to improve mylot, you are more than welcome to participate and give your ideas if you are willing to do so. I hope people make more relevant discussions and also, that the responses can be a little better...

But I have seen some witty posts and replies, which have made me laugh for a long time,non-stop. No amount of money or any other thing can provide one with this!

But you must admit, most of the topics are nonsensical.

You might, however most people who are posting appear to paying more attention to their post counts, than what they are saying.
